Job Description
As a Value Consultant at Splunk, you will play a crucial role in evangelizing the business value of Splunk to both internal and external stakeholders. Your primary responsibility will be to support field sales teams and sales leaders by providing consultative guidance throughout the value selling process for new and existing customers. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing company in the Security and Observability industry, with high visibility among executives and ample room for personal and professional growth. Your duties will include engaging customers to showcase Splunk's business value by effectively articulating the unique advantages of Splunk solutions in addressing their specific business challenges. You will collaborate closely with field sales teams to develop and implement value selling strategies tailored to individual customer needs. By conducting in-depth interviews and research, you will identify business value opportunities and align Splunk solutions with client objectives. In addition to client engagement, you will contribute to demand generation and thought leadership initiatives through various channels such as executive presentations, blogs, webinars, and whitepapers. Your role will also involve providing valuable insights to key stakeholders within the organization, including product management, marketing, engineering, and senior leadership. To excel in this position, you should possess a deep understanding of customer needs, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with key clients, particularly at the C-suite level. Your experience in research, presentation, and translating customer challenges into actionable solutions will be critical in driving the success of Splunk's value consulting efforts. Ideally, you should hold a Master's degree in Economics, Computer Science, or a related field, or have equivalent work experience. Prior experience in a consulting firm would be advantageous. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority, are essential for this role. You should also demonstrate a proactive and self-starting attitude, along with a high level of ownership and transparency in managing your responsibilities.,
