Job Description Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and decision-making processes. Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance against budgets and forecasts. Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for the management team and investors. Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to finalize and align financial plans with business goals. Monitor budget adherence and identify opportunities for cost optimization. Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Coordinate with external and internal auditors for annual audits and address audit findings. Support the evaluation of new business opportunities, investments, and partnerships from a financial perspective. Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company objectives. Analyze financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies to safeguard the companys assets and profitability. Ensure adherence to all relevant financial regulations and laws in the fintech/lending industry. Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and implement necessary changes in the company's policies and procedures. Serve as a financial liaison to internal and external stakeholders, providing clear and concise financial data and insights. Assist in preparing materials for investor meetings and strategic discussions. Mentor and develop a small finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance. Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing across departments to enhance overall business performance. Requirements Qualifications: Essential: Chartered Accountant (CA) is a must. Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in financial management, preferably within the fintech or lending industry. Strong analytical, financial modeling, and forecasting skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly. Preferred: Additional qualifications such as CFA or MBA will be an advantage. Experience in startup environments or early-stage companies is a plus. Familiarity with financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems) and understanding of financial regulations in India.
