Job Title: BOM Configuration Company Name: Kia India Job Description: The BOM Configuration specialist will be responsible for managing and optimizing the Bill of Materials (BOM) for various vehicle models at Kia India. This role entails ensuring that all components and materials required for manufacturing are accurately listed, configured, and maintained in the ERP system. The specialist will collaborate closely with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to facilitate seamless integration and updates to BOM data. Additionally, the candidate will analyze BOM structures for accuracy and compliance with production requirements and industry standards. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) for new and existing vehicle models. - Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure that all changes in design are reflected in the BOM. - Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and organizational guidelines in BOM management. - Conduct regular audits and reviews of BOM data to ensure accuracy and completeness. - Work closely with production and supply chain teams to address any discrepancies in BOM configurations and resolve issues promptly. - Participate in cross-functional meetings to discuss product development and manufacturing processes related to BOM changes. - Generate reports and dashboards pertaining to BOM status and performance metrics for management. Skills and Tools Required: - Strong understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM) management principles and practices. - Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably SAP or similar) for BOM configuration. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. - Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) software. - Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with multi-disciplinary teams. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously under tight deadlines. - Knowledge of automotive industry standards and regulatory compliance related to manufacturing and materials. - Experience with data analysis tools, such as Excel or similar, to interpret and present BOM data. Preferred Qualifications: - A degree in B.Tech/B.E. Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. - Previous experience in BOM configuration or related functions in the automotive industry. - Understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain management.,
