Job Description
Lab Learners is seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Biology Lab Assistant to conduct practical biology experiments for students in schools. The ideal candidate will prepare specimens, set up equipment, and guide students through interactive biology demonstrations that align with their curriculum. Key Responsibilities: Conduct biology practical sessions in schools, covering topics like microscopy, cell structure, dissections, and plant/animal studies. Prepare and arrange lab materials such as slides, models, specimens, and microscopes before each session. Demonstrate experiments effectively while explaining biological concepts in a simple and engaging way. Ensure all experiments are conducted safely and maintain proper lab protocols. Maintain accurate records of conducted experiments, materials used, and outcomes. Ensure proper cleaning, maintenance, and storage of lab equipment and biological specimens. Collaborate with school staff to schedule and manage lab sessions efficiently. Assist in science exhibitions, workshops, and other educational events organized by Lab Learners. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Biology or related field (B.Sc./M.Sc. preferred). Prior experience in conducting biology experiments (preferred but not mandatory). Strong understanding of biology concepts, lab equipment, and safety protocols. Good communication skills to engage with students effectively.
