Job Description
As a BigQuery Admin, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing Google Cloud Platform (GCP), specifically focusing on BigQuery. With at least 4 years of experience, you will demonstrate a strong command of SQL and BigQuery-specific functions, as well as expertise in cloud data architecture, including data warehousing, ETL, and data modeling. Your familiarity with GCP services such as Google Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Dataproc, and Pub/Sub will be advantageous. Your key responsibilities will include performance optimization of BigQuery through query tuning, partitioning, and clustering. You will implement data security practices in cloud environments, ensuring compliance with IAM, encryption, and audit logging standards. Your proficiency in data governance best practices will be essential, along with a strong grasp of Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging tools. Preferred certifications for this role include Google Cloud Certified Professional Data Engineer and Google Cloud Certified Associate Cloud Engineer. While these certifications are preferred, they are not mandatory. In addition to technical skills, soft skills such as excellent communication and collaboration abilities will be crucial as you engage with cross-functional teams. Your strong organizational and time-management skills will enable you to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. With strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities, you will proactively approach problem-solving, ensuring efficient BigQuery administration within the GCP environment.,
