Job Description
You should have over 10 years of experience in leading development efforts, managing the BigCommerce platform, and providing technical leadership in a team environment. Your responsibilities will include serving as the technical lead for all BigCommerce projects, overseeing design, development, and deployment of e-commerce solutions. You will work closely with designers, developers, and project managers to ensure timely project delivery and scope adherence. As a technical lead, you will manage the BigCommerce platform, including customizations, integrations, and third-party applications, while optimizing it for performance, scalability, and security. Mentoring and guiding a team of developers will be crucial, providing technical direction, support, and conducting code reviews to maintain coding standards. Your role will involve leading the design and development of custom BigCommerce themes, plugins, and extensions, including advanced customizations such as API integrations and third-party services. Additionally, you will optimize and maintain existing BigCommerce stores and implement custom solutions to meet specific business requirements. In terms of technical leadership, you will provide expertise and guidance to junior developers, conduct code reviews, and collaborate with project managers, designers, and other developers to meet technical requirements and project timelines. Performance optimization will be a key focus, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks, implementing caching strategies, and enhancing overall application performance.
