The primary responsibility of the Report Developer is to support and develop reporting solutions that enhance business efficiency and optimization. You will have direct ownership of your work, technical direction, and standards. Effective communication and collaboration with team members are essential for success in this role. Your main tasks will include delivering high-quality reporting to drive business insights, engaging with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements, and working closely with Business Intelligence Analysts to translate requirements into effective reporting solutions. You will also be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of reporting solutions throughout the development process. We value continuous learning and experimentation, making individual aptitude and desire as important as experience. Key Duties: - Extract, transform, and load data into Power BI/SSRS from various sources. - Monitor and optimize Power BI reports for efficiency. - Convert SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Microsoft Excel reports to Power BI. - Ensure data accuracy and integrity in Power BI and SSRS reports. - Optimize Power BI data models and queries for performance. - Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand reporting requirements. - Translate business requirements into technical specifications for Power BI/SSRS solutions. - Provide guidance to stakeholders to improve data literacy and enable self-service reporting. - Assist stakeholders in using reports and educate them on solutions. - Stay updated on the latest features and updates in Power BI. - Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices in BI development. - Handle support rotation, analyze and resolve bugs in the ticketing system, or escalate as needed. - Provide on-call support for critical reporting needs. Qualifications and Education Requirements: - Must be available to work during office hours in different time zones as required. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field. - Proficiency in Power BI with experience in DAX, SQL, and optionally MDX. - Knowledge of Power Query and SQL Server Analysis Services. - Familiarity with SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Azure Data Services, Microsoft Power BI Toolset, and Microsoft Visual Studio.
