About Genrobotics
Job Description
You are a skilled Battery Management System (BMS) Engineer with a solid understanding of BMS architecture, components, and safety features. You have experience in failure analysis, problem-solving, and Li-Ion battery assembly, including cylindrical, pouch, and prismatic cells. Your expertise extends to LV and HV battery system handling. Your role involves developing and integrating new processes in the New Product Development Stage (NPDS). This includes design for assembly (DFA), design for safety (DFS), design verification analysis (DVA), ergonomics, and cable routing. You will be working on BMS architecture, focusing on SOC, SOH, cell balancing, fault detection, safety controls, and protection algorithms. A deep understanding of thermal management, energy management, and life optimization algorithms is essential for this role. Your experience with communication protocols such as RS485, Modbus, and CAN is crucial. You must be able to implement custom communication protocols provided by BMS manufacturers. Proficiency in preparing SOPs, work instructions, and quality checklists is required. Familiarity with battery chemistries like NMC and LiFePO4 and knowledge of their impact on BMS behavior are necessary. Knowledge of functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262) is considered a plus. You should also be capable of integrating BMS data into higher-level systems or dashboards for monitoring and control. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and testing embedded software and firmware for BMS applications. You will integrate and configure BMS hardware, including microcontrollers, sensors, and communication interfaces. Implementing state-of-charge (SOC), state-of-health (SOH), and cell balancing algorithms will be part of your tasks. Collaboration with hardware engineers, compliance with requirements, and developing diagnostic tools will also be crucial aspects of your role. Documenting software design, validation protocols, and change logs is also expected. Your qualifications should include a B Tech in ECE/EEE, and you should have at least 2 years of experience in battery management systems. The location for this position is Technopark, Thiruvananthapuram. Your skills should encompass various aspects related to BMS architecture, NPDS, thermal management, state-of-charge algorithms, and more as mentioned in the job description.,
