Job Description

A Banquet Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of banquet services in a hospitality or event setting, such as restaurants, hotels, or event venues. Their primary goal is to ensure that events run smoothly, guests are satisfied, and the venue meets or exceeds revenue and service quality expectations. Key Responsibilities: Event Planning and Coordination: Work with clients to understand their needs and preferences for events. Collaborate with other departments, such as catering and housekeeping, to ensure seamless execution. Prepare detailed event plans, including schedules, seating arrangements, and menus. Staff Management: Recruit, train, and manage banquet staff (servers, bartenders, setup crews, etc.). Create work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels. Supervise staff during events to maintain service standards. Operations Management: Oversee the setup, service, and breakdown of banquet areas. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Manage inventory of banquet supplies and equipment. Client Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for clients during events. Address and resolve any issues or concerns promptly. Maintain strong relationships to encourage repeat business. Budget and Revenue Management: Monitor event budgets to ensure profitability.
