About the Role We are looking for a skilled Backend Engineer (Ruby on Rails) to join our growing team. You will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and optimizing the core backend infrastructure. Responsibilities Develop and maintain scalable backend systems using Ruby on Rails. Design and implement robust RESTful APIs to power our mobile and frontend platforms. Work with PostgreSQL or MySQL databases to ensure optimal data structure and performance. Apply Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies to produce reliable and maintainable code. Optimize system performance and enforce best practices for security and scalability. Backend Engineer (Ruby on Rails) - Job Description Collaborate closely with frontend developers, designers, and product managers. Take ownership of end-to-end backend features from ideation to production deployment. Requirements Minimum 2+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails. Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL. Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs. Familiarity with AWS, Google Cloud, or similar cloud platforms. Proficient with Git/GitHub for version control and team collaboration. Strong understanding of clean coding practices, scalability, and maintainability. Nice to Have Experience with Docker and containerization. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment practices. Basic frontend knowledge (e.g., React) is a plus.
