Location : Gurugram Workmode : WFO Notice Period : Immediate up to 45 days We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to develop and support cloud-based data platforms that enable advanced analytics, data science, and reporting. You will work on integrating multiple data sources, optimizing data models, and building robust ETL pipelines on Azure. Key Skills Required ETL/ELT : Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake Database & Querying : Azure SQL, strong SQL skills Data Modeling : Dimensional modeling, data warehouse concepts Visualization : Power BI (DAX preferred), Tableau (optional) DevOps : CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions) Documentation & Governance : Azure Purview Others : Python or R (nice to have), Lakehouse architectures, metadata-driven pipelines Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain cloud data pipelines and models using Azure Integrate on-prem and cloud-based data sources Build and optimize data models for performance and scalability Use Azure SQL, Data Factory, Databricks, and Data Lake for ETL workflows Develop dashboards and reports in Power BI Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions Create and maintain data dictionaries and metadata using Azure Purview Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business teams Ensure best practices in security, performance, and data governance Qualifications Bachelors or Masters in Data, Computer Science, or related fields 36 years of experience in data engineering roles Azure certifications (preferred, not mandatory) Prior experience in mining or large-scale operations is a bonus Soft Skills Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset Good communication skills to engage with both technical and non-technical teams Self-driven and eager to learn new technologies (ref:hirist.tech),
