Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented AV Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audiovisual systems. Responsibilities:

Installation and Setup:
Install and configure audiovisual equipment, including displays, projectors, sound systems, and video conferencing systems.
Ensure proper cable management and integration of AV components.

Testing and Calibration:
Conduct testing and calibration of AV systems to ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to audio, video, or control systems.

On-site Support:
Provide on-site support during events, meetings, and conferences to ensure smooth operation of AV equipment.
Assist users with the setup and operation of AV systems.
Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance and inspections of AV systems to identify and address potential issues.
Coordinate with the maintenance team to schedule preventive maintenance activities.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of AV system configurations, installations, and troubleshooting procedures.
Create user guides and training materials for end-users.

Collaboration:
Collaborate with AV engineers, programmers, and project managers to contribute to the successful execution of projects.
Communicate effectively with clients and end-users to understand their AV requirements.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience as an AV Technician or a related field.
  • Strong technical knowledge of audiovisual equipment, cabling, and signal flow.
  • Familiarity with AV control systems and basic programming concepts.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
  • Industry certifications such as InfoComm Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) are advantageous.
  • Experience with video conferencing solutions (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams).
  • Familiarity with various AV software and diagnostic tools.
