Job Description

As a Software Testing Engineer at GlobalLogic, you will be required to possess the following skills and experience: - Proficient in Automation skills with Python, preferably BDD. - Previous experience working with Smart TVs, Set-top Boxes (STB), or any Multimedia Products. - Familiarity with OTT Application Testing and Broadcasting Standards such as ATSC, DVB, MPEG. - Ability to write and execute test plans for consumer electronics products. - Knowledge of home networking functionality, Wi-Fi, audio/video streaming, and Audio/Video codecs (HLS, MP4, MKV, etc.). - Experience in utilizing Automation frameworks, writing scripts, and understanding various testing techniques. - Capable of executing test procedures to verify functionality against specifications and product requirements. - Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Educational background in BE/B.Tech in E&C, CS, or equivalent. - Proficiency in tools like JIRA, TestRail, or any other Bug tracking and Test Management Tool. - Key skills in Software Testing with Smart TVs, Set-top Boxes (STB), or any Multimedia Products. Your responsibilities as a Software Testing Engineer at GlobalLogic will include: - Assisting in ensuring end-to-end validation of new functionality. - Troubleshooting issues to identify root causes and providing detailed bug reports. - Automating P0/P1 test cases for new functionality and simple repetitive manual tests. - Reviewing software requirements and preparing test scenarios. - Executing tests on software usability and analyzing test results for errors or bugs. - Preparing comprehensive reports on all aspects related to software testing and reporting to the team. - Interacting with clients to understand product requirements.
