Job Description

The ideal candidate for the OS Test Automation position should possess the following qualifications and skills: - Proficient in automation with Python and BDD. - Experience working with Smart TVs, Set-top Boxes (STB), or other Multimedia Products. - Knowledge of wireless networking, including configuring and testing routers. - Familiarity with streaming video and audio analysis. - Ability to conduct subjective and objective audio and video qualification. - Understanding of various audio and video codecs. - Experience in OTT Application Testing. - Knowledge of broadcasting standards such as ATSC, DVB, and MPEG. - Proficiency in writing and executing test plans for consumer electronics products. - Experience with home networking functionality, Wi-Fi, and audio/video streaming, including knowledge of audio/video codecs (HLS, MP4, MKV, etc.). - Familiarity with automation frameworks and script writing. - Good understanding of the software development life cycle and various testing techniques. - Willingness to execute test procedures to verify functionality against specifications and product requirements. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Educational background in BE/B.Tech in E&C, CS, or equivalent. - Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or other Bug tracking and Test Management Tools. - Key skills in Software Testing with Smart TVs, Set-top Boxes (STB), or other Multimedia Products. Responsibilities: - Assist in ensuring end-to-end validation of new functionality. - Troubleshoot issues to identify the root cause and provide detailed bug reports. - Automate P0/P1 test cases for new functionality and simple & repetitive existing manual tests. - Review software requirements and prepare test scenarios. - Execute tests on software usability. - Analyze test results for errors, bugs, and usability. - Prepare reports on all aspects related to software testing and report to the team. - Interact with clients to understand product requirements.
