Sr Lead - Automation Engineer

Synopsis of the role 

We're looking for a highly motivated and independent Process Automation & Improvement Specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in driving efficiency and innovation by identifying, automating, and optimizing existing processes. You'll have the exciting opportunity to challenge legacy systems, develop new products, and significantly impact our operational effectiveness.

What you will do 

• Independently analyze existing workflows to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for automation and improvement.

• Design, develop, and implement robust automation solutions using cloud tools to streamline manual tasks and enhance operational efficiency.

• Innovate and develop new tools and products to replace or augment legacy systems, driving forward-thinking solutions.

• Collaborate with various teams to understand their process needs and translate them into technical requirements.

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all automated processes and developed tools.

• Monitor and troubleshoot automation solutions, ensuring their continuous reliability and performance.

• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

What experience you need 

• 10+ years of experience in Data Management, analytics, or data-centric roles.

• Exceptional Python programming skills with a strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.

• Proven experience in developing and deploying automation scripts and applications.

• Ability to function independently, take initiative, and drive projects from conception to completion with minimal supervision.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

What could set you apart

• Understanding of Bureau Data is a significant advantage.

• Experience in working with bank data structures and processes. is good to have.

• Experience with SAS programming and data manipulation.

• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

• Knowledge of database management and SQL.
