Job Title: Control & Automation Engineer Location: [Insert Location] Job Type: Full-Time Salary: 25K 30K Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and motivated Control & Automation Engineer to support the design, programming, and implementation of automation solutions across industrial and building automation systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in PLC programming, SCADA/HMI development, control panel design, component selection, and Building Automation Systems (BAS). This role involves hands-on engineering work, system integration, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver efficient and reliable automation solutions. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement automation and control systems for industrial and building automation applications. Program and configure PLCs, SCADA, HMI, and DCS systems. Assist in the integration of robotics, vision systems, and smart devices into automation solutions. Design and select electrical/electronic components and prepare control system documentation. Participate in control panel design, layout, and oversee panel building and wiring to meet safety and compliance standards. Support the installation and commissioning of Building Automation Systems (BAS), including HVAC controls and energy management systems. Ensure systems adhere to safety standards, industry codes, and project requirements. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to control systems and building management systems (BMS). Collaborate with other engineers and departments to ensure system compatibility and performance. Conduct testing, validation, and documentation of control systems. Provide technical support, maintenance planning, and training to relevant teams. Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends related to automation and smart systems. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, Automation Engineering, or related field. 5 to 10 years of experience in industrial automation, control systems, or building automation. Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, Mitsubishi), SCADA, HMI, and industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, BACnet, KNX). Experience in control panel design, component selection, wiring, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with robotic systems, motion control, and vision systems is a plus. Understanding of Building Automation Systems (BAS), BMS, HVAC control, and energy efficiency strategies. Knowledge of VFDs, servo drives, sensor integration, and PID control. Awareness of Industry 4.0, IIoT, and smart building technologies. Strong problem-solving abilities and clear communication skills. Preferred Experience: Experience in Special Purpose Machines (SPM), production automation, or material handling systems. Knowledge of safety standards, CE marking, risk assessments, and functional safety (e.g., SIL). Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
