Job Description
You will be responsible for preparing Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), Process Flow Diagram (PFD), Block Flow Diagram (BFD), and GA drawings. Updating drawings based on redlines, incorporating vendor drawings information in PIDs, PFDs, etc., will be part of your duties. You will also be involved in preparing equipment layout and developing HFD from the equipment list. It is essential to understand and effectively communicate with Process Engineers to incorporate their inputs. Having the ability to compare PFD, PID with Vendor documents is preferred, along with a good understanding of tagging philosophy, styles, and standards. To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's/Diploma in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline. A minimum of 4 years of experience in AutoCAD 2D P&ID development with an EPC background, preferably in the water/petrochemical industry, is required. Expert knowledge of 2D AutoCAD tools is mandatory. Basic knowledge of instruments, valve types, pump types, pipe materials of construction, etc., is desired. Familiarity with ISA (Instrumentation Society of America) and PIP (Process Industry Practice) standards would be an added advantage.,
