Job Description
We are seeking an Associate Software QA Specialist who will be responsible for testing for First Advantages core products using manual test processes and delivering the results to the business. Working on these high-volume, security intensive applications, the Software QA Specialist will write and execute test cases, raise bugs and work together with the team to resolved them, and run sanity and regression tests. This individual will work closely within the agile pod to identify opportunities to improve the product offering to create a better user experience for First Advantages customers. This individual will use their strong communication skills to work with our teams across the globe and can actively and effectively understand and develop empathy for the needs of hiring managers and candidates.

What Youll Do
Responsibilities:
Update job knowledge by studying current QA tools, methodologies, and programming techniques. Participate in educational opportunities and read professional publications.
Responsible for ensuring software is tested and deployments are supported in line with QA processes and business requirements to a high standard
Work closely with all stakeholders to understand the requirements from a business and system perspective
Accurately analyse technical requirements to produce test estimates and approach per project, component or story.
Actively contribute in SCRUM ceremonies (Planning, Review, Retrospective, Daily Stand up) Develop and execute test cases based on agile stories and documented business and system requirements. Maintain our legacy test suites including the update of data sets for testing.
Develop and expand automated tests based on agile stories and documented business and system requirements.
Enhance and maintain the existing Selenium - BDD Cucumber and PostMan/ReadyAPI/SOUPUI test automation suites.
Perform regression, sanity, exploratory, load and performance testing to a high quality and within agreed timescales.
Document, manage and support the resolution of defects that arise during testing
Report defects in the defect management tool (JIRA/DevOps) in a clear manner and communicate any issues that may affect the agreed deadline to the line manager as soon as they are known.
Liaise with the necessary parties during the testing life cycle to ensure that the implementation is delivered on time and of expected quality.
Produce clear reports of the testing conducted to the stakeholders of the project.
Identify any risks and escalate to relevant stakeholder and Line manager
Produce quality test documentation (Test Plans, Test Scripts, and Traceability) to audit standards.
Enhance the QA team processes through knowledge shares between team members and contributions to QA improvement sessions which includes evaluating and performing proof of concepts for new tools and processes. Mentor and support junior/ software testers including reviewing test documents, defects and reports to ensure QA standards are adhered to.
Adopt a professional approach and behavior when dealing with the business and user community.
Assist others (incl. customers) outside of QA with UAT/ integration testing where required and ensure work is carried out to the QA standards, be that on-site or off-site.
Lead by example and demonstrate commitment to hitting deadlines Carry out additional duties as directed in line with business needs as required by your line manager/ QA manager.
Provide out of hours support as required.
What You May Need to be Successful:
Bachelor s degree or equivalent
0- 2 years of QA Experience
Experience working in an Agile development environment (Scrum or Kanban preferred)
Agile software development methodology (Scrum or Kanban preferred)
Functional testing methods and techniques
Good understanding of Test Analysis and acceptance criteria process
SQL and Database tools (MS SQL Server Management studio)
Scripting languages
Behavior-driven Development (BDD)
SOAP & REST web API
Java Basic
