Job Description
The Financial Reporting team at Morgan Stanley Fund Services (MSFS) is seeking a Financial Reporting Associate/Senior Associate to join their Mumbai office. As a member of the global team, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements for hedge fund clients under US GAAP, UK GAAP, and IFRS. You will work closely with the Financial Reporting Manager to ensure timely delivery of accurate financial statements for both annual audits and interim reports. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with the financial reporting team to prepare financial statements that comply with US GAAP/IFRS - Prepare financials, Condensed Schedule of Investments, and Statement of Cash Flows from supporting documents - Assist auditors during the audit process by providing valid backup data for all figures in the financial statements - Demonstrate strong analytical and interpretational skills Team Responsibilities: - Maintain good communication within the team - Ensure financial statements are delivered within deadlines - Adhere to internal control policies and procedures Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting - Completed Accounting qualification (e.g., CA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent - 2 years PQE in auditing or financial reporting preferred - Experience in Public accounting or Hedge Fund Administration advantageous Skills and Abilities: - Proficiency in preparing financials of investment companies per US GAAP/IFRS - Ability to multitask and work efficiently - Attention to detail and accuracy in tasks - Client-focused with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines - Effective communication skills across cultures - Proactive in identifying and escalating issues in a timely manner - Flexible approach to duties and work hours Morgan Stanley is an equal opportunities employer that values diversity and inclusion.
