Pin code =147301 Department: Plant Operations / Manufacturing Reporting To: Plant Manager / Operations Head Salary Range: 4 8 LPA (Depending on experience) Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Assistant Plant Manager to support daily operations, drive efficiency, and ensure production targets are met in a safe and cost-effective manner. The ideal candidate will assist in overseeing all aspects of plant activities including production, maintenance, quality, safety, and manpower management. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Plant Manager in day-to-day operations of the manufacturing facility. Coordinate with production, maintenance, quality control, logistics, and other departments to meet output and delivery schedules. Monitor production KPIs and ensure targets for quality, cost, and output are consistently met. Supervise and manage plant staff, operators, and supervisors; ensure workforce discipline and productivity. Implement and maintain safety protocols, ensure compliance with statutory and environmental regulations. Support preventive maintenance plans to minimize equipment downtime. Assist in continuous process improvement initiatives (Kaizen, Lean, 5S). Maintain proper documentation for audits (ISO, internal, external). Support budgeting, inventory management, and cost control activities. Troubleshoot operational issues and support decision-making on the shop floor. Requirements: Bachelors degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Production Engineering. 58 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or assistant managerial role. Good understanding of plant operations, production planning, and maintenance. Familiar with safety regulations, ISO/TS standards, and EHS compliance. Strong leadership, interpersonal, and team management skills. Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems (SAP/Tally or similar). Preferred Attributes: Experience in Biomass fuel sector . Lean Six Sigma certification or experience in process improvement. Willingness to work in shifts or extended hours when required. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
