Job Description

The Assistant/Deputy Manager in Injection Moulding is responsible for overseeing and optimizing injection moulding operations to ensure high-quality output, productivity, and machine efficiency. Your role includes managing moulding processes, supervising the shop floor team, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Your key responsibilities will involve: 1. Production Planning & Execution: Supervising daily injection moulding operations, monitoring machine utilization, and coordinating with planning, maintenance, and quality teams. 2. Process Optimization: Setting and optimizing process parameters, troubleshooting issues, and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency. 3. Tooling & Maintenance Coordination: Overseeing changeovers, coordinating with maintenance for upkeep, and ensuring proper handling of moulds. 4. Quality Assurance: Ensuring adherence to quality standards, minimizing rework, and collaborating with the QA/QC team for audits. 5. Team Management: Supervising and training operators, enforcing safety protocols, and preparing shift reports. 6. Compliance & Safety: Ensuring compliance with regulations, promoting a safe working environment. Key Skills and Competencies required for this role include strong technical knowledge of injection moulding processes, experience with machines like Arburg, Haitian, Engel, etc., and understanding of polymers like ABS, PP, PC, Nylon. Leadership, team-handling skills, and knowledge of production planning and quality tools are essential. Educational Qualifications: B.E. / B. Tech in Mechanical / Plastics / Polymer Engineering or equivalent. Experience Required: 8-10 years of hands-on experience in injection moulding production, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
