Job Description
Assistant Warehouse Manager assists the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily warehouse operations, inventory management, and team leadership. They are responsible for ensuring efficient and safe warehouse processes, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods, as well as managing and supporting warehouse staff. Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records, track stock levels, and ensure proper storage and organization. Order Processing: Assist with receiving, packing, and shipping customer orders. Warehouse Operations: Coordinate daily workflow, ensure safety and security, and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Team Leadership: Supervise and support warehouse staff, providing guidance and training, and addressing any issues. Communication: Communicate with customers, suppliers, and other departments to ensure smooth operations. Reporting: Prepare reports on warehouse activities, such as inventory levels, productivity, and shipping performance. Safety: Ensure adherence to safety regulations and procedures, conduct safety training for staff, and address any safety concerns. Problem Solving: Identify and resolve operational issues to ensure smooth and efficient warehouse processes. Skills and Qualifications: Inventory Management: Experience with inventory control systems, cycle counting, and warehouse management software. Logistics: Understanding of supply chain processes, shipping methods, and transportation logistics. Team Leadership: Ability to motivate, train, and supervise warehouse staff, as well as delegate tasks and responsibilities. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with staff, customers, and suppliers.
