Job Description
As a Senior Engineer/ Assistant Manager Service at Emerson, you will be responsible for supervising a team of Field Service Engineers who handle customer requests through various channels such as phone, e-mail, and other forums. Your role will involve leading day-to-day operations, training and coaching Customer Service Engineers, and ensuring target service levels are met. Additionally, you will be tasked with responding to customer issues, implementing solutions, and maintaining efficient operations through the development of policies and standard work procedures. Your communication and presentation skills in English, both verbal and written, will be crucial in interacting with internal and external customers. Strong technical knowledge in Control Valves, ESD Valves applications, and Field Instruments like Valve Positioners and Controllers is required. You should possess excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills, along with the ability to lead and collaborate cross-functionally with various departments. A degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 12+ years of field service experience in Valves, Actuations, and Positioners, particularly in industries such as petrochemical, refining, oil & gas exploration, and/or production, is preferred. Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams, is necessary. Knowledge of ORACLE and familiarity with Site Safety Practices are advantageous.
