Job Description: As the Assistant Librarian at JKKN College of Pharmacy, you will work closely with the Librarian to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Library. Responsibilities: - Assisting in acquiring, organizing, and maintaining library materials such as books, journals, and electronic resources. - Providing reference services to students, faculty, and staff, offering research assistance and guidance on library resources and search strategies. - Managing the library's online catalog and databases to ensure accuracy and up-to-date information. - Collaborating with other departments to align library resources with the college's programs and courses. - Supervising and training library assistants and student workers. - Handling administrative tasks related to library operations, including circulation, interlibrary loan, and collection development. - Updating the library's website and social media accounts. - Contributing to the development of the library's strategic plan and goals. Qualifications: - Master's degree in Library Science (MLIS) or a related field from an accredited institution. - Minimum of two years of experience in an academic library setting. - Proficiency in current library technologies and systems, including online catalogs, databases, and digital repositories. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. - Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and students. - Knowledge of the field of pharmacy and related subjects is advantageous.
