Job Description
The Assistant Facility Manager - Technical position requires a facility management professional with a strong technical expertise to oversee complex building systems and operations. Your role will focus on technical excellence, optimization of building performance, and implementation of innovative facility management solutions. Your key responsibilities will include overseeing the technical aspects of facility operations, such as mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. You will lead preventative and corrective maintenance programs for complex building systems, develop and implement energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives, and ensure technical compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Additionally, you will be responsible for training and developing staff on technical procedures and best practices, evaluating and recommending new technologies to improve facility operations, and serving as a technical advisor to clients and internal stakeholders. To qualify for this role, you should have at least 5 years of experience in facility management with an emphasis on technical systems. You must possess strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems, as well as experience with energy management and sustainability initiatives. The ability to read and interpret building plans and technical specifications is essential, along with technical certifications related to building systems (HVAC, electrical, etc.). A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facility Management, or a related technical field is also required, along with experience in facility condition assessments and capital planning.,
