Job Description
Job Title: Assistant Engineer Department: Engineering / Maintenance Reports To: Maintenance Manager / Chief Engineer Job Summary: The Assistant Engineer supports the maintenance and engineering operations of the hotel by performing routine and preventive maintenance, assisting in repairs, and ensuring that all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems function efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Assist in routine maintenance tasks including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs. Support the engineering team in inspecting, diagnosing, and fixing equipment malfunctions. Monitor and record maintenance activities and report any issues to the Maintenance Manager. Assist in implementing preventive maintenance schedules. Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored. Follow all safety procedures and company policies. Respond to guest service requests related to engineering issues when assigned. Collaborate with other departments for operational support. Skills & Qualifications: Diploma or ITI in Mechanical, Electrical, or related field. 0-1 years of experience in hotel or facility maintenance preferred. Basic knowledge of building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.). Ability to use tools and read technical manuals. Physically fit and able to work flexible shifts.
