You will be joining the Client Services BI & Analytics team at Visa as a Consultant specializing in Data Science. Your role will involve creating a culture that promotes easy access to operational data, generating insights, and sharing valuable information with stakeholders at all levels. As part of the Global Business Operations function, you will collaborate with various teams to ensure the availability and accuracy of data needed for decision-making. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines, monitoring data flow, and setting up automation processes based on business requirements. You will work on data engineering and Machine Learning projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, and implement data validation and quality checks. Additionally, you will leverage tools such as Hadoop, Spark, Python, Presto, and SQL to manipulate large datasets and develop data solutions using Agile principles. This hybrid position allows for a balance between remote and office work, with a general expectation of being in the office 2-3 days a week. To qualify for this role, you should have at least 3 years of work experience in a STEM field, strong proficiency in SQL, Python, Hadoop, Spark, and other relevant technologies. Preferred qualifications include experience in data engineering, knowledge of traditional and modern data warehousing tools, familiarity with cloud-based platforms, and expertise in visualization software. You should also be a team player, able to communicate complex concepts effectively, and stay updated on the latest data engineering trends and technologies.
