Job Description

As a Senior Systems Platform Architect at Mastercard, you will be a part of the Infrastructure Design Services team responsible for analyzing and designing the infrastructure framework in alignment with the company's operational standards and principles. Your primary focus will be on creating Technical Architecture Documents (TAD) that detail the infrastructure design for applications, platforms, or systems. Your role will involve collaborating with technology architects, engineers, application teams, and users to gather requirements and ensure that high-level requirements are consistent, complete, and operationally defined. You will generate technical documents, logical flows, and models to keep stakeholders updated and in agreement on the evolving application, system, or platform. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining architectural products, resolving internet architectural issues impacting product availability, and researching new technologies for deployment in Mastercard's internet infrastructure. To excel in this role, you must possess a thorough understanding of network, operating system principles, web middleware, load balancers, web application firewalls, database technologies, cloud technologies, Zero Trust Architecture principles, and Network Micro-segmentation. Experience with YAML based deployments is required, along with the ability to diagnose problems, tune performance, plan capacity, and manage configurations for internet components. Your success will also depend on your leadership, communication, and collaboration skills. You should be detail-oriented, customer-focused, proactive, and able to work under pressure. The ability to learn new technologies quickly, adapt to challenging opportunities, and work effectively in a matrix-based, geographically distributed team is essential. Additionally, you must prioritize tasks, provide exceptional customer service to internal partners, and adhere to Mastercard's security policies and practices. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the stability, compatibility, and performance of Mastercard's internet infrastructure while staying abreast of evolving technologies and industry best practices.
