Job description Position Overview: As a Senior Accountant, we expect our accountant to have prior knowledge in the hospitality sector. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of hotel accounting, taxation, GST, and other industry-specific financial practices. A proactive, solution-oriented mindset is essential. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Industry Expertise: Prior experience in the hospitality sector is essential, with a solid understanding of hotel accounting, revenue management, and cost control specific to hotel operations. Regulatory Compliance: Maintain compliance with all financial regulations, including GST, TDS, service tax, and other statutory requirements relevant to the hospitality industry. Revenue Management: Oversee and manage room revenue, food and beverage sales, banquet income, and other revenue streams, ensuring accurate reporting and reconciliation. Tax Management: Oversee tax-related matters, ensuring accurate and timely filings, while optimizing tax positions within legal frameworks, including GST input credit management. Solution-Oriented Mindset: Approach financial challenges with a proactive, problem-solving attitude, providing actionable insights to improve financial performance. Adaptability: Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and industry regulations, adapting strategies accordingly to ensure compliance. Cost Control: Monitor and manage expenses across departments, analyzing cost patterns and implementing measures for cost efficiency. Collaborative Skills: Work seamlessly with cross-functional teams (front office, F&B, sales, and operations), providing financial insights and contributing to strategic planning.
