About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Accountant to join our Direct Tax Litigation Team. The role offers excellent exposure to practical litigation, advisory, and tax compliance work, working closely with seasoned tax professionals.
Eligibility Criteria
2+ years of experience in a CA firm or legal/tax consultancy, especially in direct tax
Candidates with internship experience in tax litigation will be preferred
Freshers with strong interest in direct tax litigation may also apply
Key Responsibilities
Draft replies to income tax notices, assessment orders & penalty proceedings
Prepare documentation for hearings before AO, CIT(A), and ITAT
Conduct in-depth legal research on tax laws, rulings & circulars
Liaise with clients for data and support during assessments/litigation
Maintain case files and litigation trackers
Support in filing income tax returns, TDS returns, and basic compliance
Contribute to advisory memos and internal tax position papers
Desired Skills
Sound knowledge of the Income Tax Act, 1961
Strong written and verbal communication in English
Analytical & legal research capabilities
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Familiarity with income tax e-filing portal
