Job Description

Accountant Job Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Analysis Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to management. Support management in decision-making with financial data and trend analysis. General Ledger & Bookkeeping Maintain the general ledger and ensure proper classification of all financial transactions. Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure accuracy in financial records. Record journal entries for accruals, provisions, and other adjustments. Monitor customer accounts, process receipts, and follow up on overdue balances. Reconcile vendor and customer statements regularly. Inventory & Cost Accounting Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor inventory valuation. Assist in cost of goods sold (COGS) calculations and production costing. Support monthly physical inventory counts and investigate variances. Budgeting & Forecasting Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts. Track actual performance against budget and highlight variances. Provide financial inputs for product pricing and promotional activities. Taxation & Compliance Ensure compliance with tax regulations (VAT, GST, withholding tax, etc.). Prepare and file tax returns and assist with statutory audits. Support internal controls and compliance with corporate policies. ERP and System Management Work with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) for financial transactions. Ensure integrity and accuracy of financial data in the system. Assist in automation of accounting processes and reporting. Cash Flow & Treasury Support Monitor daily cash position and bank reconciliations. Forecast short-term and long-term cash flows. Liaise with banks on transactions and support treasury functions. Collaboration & Stakeholder Support Coordinate with supply chain, sales, marketing, and HR departments for financial matters. Provide financial support for new product launches and trade promotions. Communicate financial policies and procedures to non-finance teams. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Work Location: In person,
