Job Description

You are an experienced and skilled 5-Axis VMC (Vertical Machining Center) Programmer who will be a valuable addition to our manufacturing team. Your primary responsibility will be to program, set up, and optimize 5-axis VMC machines to manufacture precision components according to engineering specifications, with a focus on maintaining high quality and productivity levels. Key Responsibilities: - Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for 5-axis VMC machines using CAM software such as Mastercam, Siemens NX, PowerMill, or similar tools. - Interpret and comprehend technical drawings, CAD models, and GD&T specifications effectively. - Choose appropriate tools, fixtures, and machining strategies for intricate parts. - Set up and operate 5-axis VMC machines to validate programs and ensure initial quality output. - Conduct toolpath simulations and verification to avoid collisions or errors. - Perform regular inspection and quality control checks on machined components. - Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to enhance machining efficiency and part accuracy. - Maintain detailed documentation of programs, setups, and processes. - Troubleshoot machining issues and propose continuous improvement suggestions. Requirements: - Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field. - At least 3 years of practical experience in 5-axis VMC programming and operation. - Proficiency in CAM software like Mastercam, HyperMill, Siemens NX, or equivalent platforms. - Strong understanding of CNC G-code, M-code, and post-processing methods. - Knowledge of cutting tools, speeds & feeds, and material properties. - Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and CAD files accurately. - Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. - Familiarity with quality control instruments such as CMM, micrometers, calipers, etc. - Willingness to adapt to flexible work hours or shifts as needed.
