Job Description
As a Mid-Level 2D Game Artist, you will be a crucial part of defining the visual identity of our games. Your primary responsibilities will include creating top-notch 2D game art, designing user-friendly UI layouts, wireframing game screens, and crafting concept art that captures the essence of gameplay experiences. Your key duties will involve: - Crafting a variety of 2D assets such as characters, environments, props, icons, and effects that align with the game's artistic vision. - Designing visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces, including menus, HUDs, buttons, and other game elements. - Developing detailed wireframes and mockups to enhance game design and development processes. - Generating concept sketches and detailed illustrations to convey ideas and themes for characters, environments, and gameplay. - Collaborating closely with game designers, developers, and fellow artists to maintain artistic consistency and ensure visual harmony with gameplay requirements. - Participating in design reviews, incorporating feedback, and upholding high visual standards. - Optimizing assets for performance and maintaining thorough art documentation for production purposes. To excel in this role, you should possess: - 3 to 8 years of experience in 2D game art, preferably within a game development setting. - A robust portfolio demonstrating expertise in game UI design, character/environment art, concept art, and overall 2D game aesthetics. - Proficiency in design tools like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma. - A solid grasp of UI/UX principles tailored to gaming applications. - The ability to create diverse art styles ranging from stylized to semi-realistic based on project requirements. - Strong sketching and illustration capabilities. - Familiarity with wireframing tools and game art pipelines. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. - The capacity to receive direction, integrate feedback effectively, and retain creative ownership throughout the process.,
