Building Information Modelling (BIM) Specialist - General expected responsibilities

  • The BIM / REVIT technical specialist performs technical tasks in Revit software. You may report directly to the client and is accountable for the following:

    • Make changes within Revit software as required

    • Must have Revit 2018 to 2022 experience

    • Maintain a collaborative environment between CAD/Revit operators, engineers, and project managers

    • Work closely with the project management departments for BIM coordination projects

    • Complete work as requested in Revit and/or AutoCAD

    • Setup and maintain a Revit job and file for a client in a remote

    • Follow cross-discipline detail standards that are used by Engineers

    • Express ideas clearly and listen effectively to others

    • File, organize and maintain all documents connected with the above-referenced tasks in a digital format.

    • Maintain all electronic documents in a remote access environment

  • Contribute to BIM projects, as follows:

    • Assist with data input

    • Run simulations and tests of available FM software

    • Record and compile results

    • Conduct minor modelling, as needed

    • Label and tag space usage

    • Organize and monitor quantity schedules
