Hiring: Business Development Executive/Manager - Maritime Industry
Location: Sharjah UAE
About the Role:
As a Business Development Executive, you will be instrumental in expanding our market reach, identifying new business opportunities, and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders within the maritime industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities within the maritime industry through market research, networking, and lead generation activities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients, understanding their business challenges and strategic objectives.
- Negotiate and close deals, ensuring alignment with company objectives and client expectations.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market shifts to identify new avenues for growth.
- Prior experience of working in B2B sales is a must.
- Maintain working relationships with existing clients to ensure that they receive exceptional service and to identify potential new sales opportunities.
- Identify prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage sales cycle to close new business in all service categories.
- Coordinate between client and surveyors to ensure that timelines are being met and company standards are being upheld.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven track record of 3+ years in business development or sales, specifically within the maritime, shipping, logistics, or related industries.
- Deep understanding of the maritime ecosystem.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong ability to build rapport and establish long-term relationships with clients.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Maritime Studies, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
