Hiring: Business Development Executive/Manager - Maritime Industry

Location: Sharjah UAE

About the Role:

As a Business Development Executive, you will be instrumental in expanding our market reach, identifying new business opportunities, and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders within the maritime industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities within the maritime industry through market research, networking, and lead generation activities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients, understanding their business challenges and strategic objectives.
  • Negotiate and close deals, ensuring alignment with company objectives and client expectations.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market shifts to identify new avenues for growth.
  • Prior experience of working in B2B sales is a must.
  • Maintain working relationships with existing clients to ensure that they receive exceptional service and to identify potential new sales opportunities.
  • Identify prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage sales cycle to close new business in all service categories.
  • Coordinate between client and surveyors to ensure that timelines are being met and company standards are being upheld.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven track record of 3+ years in business development or sales, specifically within the maritime, shipping, logistics, or related industries.
  • Deep understanding of the maritime ecosystem.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong ability to build rapport and establish long-term relationships with clients.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Maritime Studies, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
