Azure Network Security Engineer

Network Security Engineer implements a cloud network security system or major components of a Azure network security system and building a new security system which will be the first line of defense in the prevention of hackers, malware, viruses and other malicious activities. Cloud network Security engineer will be responsible for configuring network security policies by following the procedures and guidelines and best practices. Security Engineer must be familiar with the application and network communications.

Technical

• Hands-On experience with Microsoft Network Security Technologies – Azure Firewall, Azure DDOS Protection, Configuration of Network security groups, Application security groups, Azure Policies, Azure Blueprints,
• Hands-On experience in building a Landing Zone
• Hands-On experience in Hub and Spoke architecture
• Experience in understanding the hybrid architecture and traffic flow
• Experience in implementing end to end network security architecture on cloud / hybrid
• Deep understanding of cloud computing technologies and network architectures
• Experience with Windows, Linux platform and optionally iOS, Android
• Deep experience in network security: TCP/IP, DNS, proxies, firewall configuration, intrusion detection and prevention systems, IPSec and TLS/SSL
• Deep experience with tools used for system hacking (e.g., password cracking), malware creation/deployment, network traffic sniffers, session hijacking, denial of service and SQL injection
• Experience with non Microsoft Security products –Palo Alto, Fortinet etc

Non Technical

• Ability to discuss and interact with customers
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders in troubleshooting the network level issues.
• Awareness of industry and geography specific standards / compliance requirements
• Awareness of latest threat actors in network security

Certifications:

Relevant security certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500),  Certified Ethical Hacker etc
