Lead software engineer

We are seeking out highly talented engineering lead to join our team. We’re looking for the right
talent to ensure the success of our custom e-commerce and back office applications. He/she should
have hands-on experience in PHP and Server technologies in a leadership role with at least 5 years of
experience in these technologies. The ideal candidate would be expected to possess excellent
command over communication since the role will require him to work in sync with the US team. This is
a very special position for us; the, it will also need to be for you. The position provides for much
autonomy because we believe creativity flourishes when autonomy is provided. We are building a
global centre of technology excellence with plans to take over the worldwide photo market.

Responsibilities:
- Hands-on Development
o This is a hands-on role to start, you must learn how we do things and be able to do them yourself
before you manage others to do them.

- Manage Engineers
o Accountability
o Performance
o Development of Skills
- Manage Contactors
o If there are contractors on the project you are their POC, you will manage their requirements,
deliverables, and be responsible for merging in their contributions.
- Agile Project Management
o Work with team in defining stories and delivering on requirements, timelines, budget
- IT Operations Management
o You must be able to keep us running and manage those who are responsible for uptime and
performance

· Must Haves:

o Bachelor of Engineering or Technology in Computer Science o 5+ years of relevant work
experience.
o 2+ years of experience designing, operating, and troubleshooting solutions using the AWS Cloud
o AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Developer – Associate Certification
o Demonstrated significant contributions to Business and Consumer Applications
o Demonstrated expertise in position subject matter (this will be tested)
· Strong Pluses:
o Experience building and maintaining 24x7x365 SaaS/PaaS applications
o AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional Certification
