Job Description

PURPOSE AND SCOPE
Tasked for the optimum utilization of manpower, machineries, materials and methods improvement in order to achieve set goals on productivity and efficiency, product quality, yields, personnel safety, sanitation/ housekeeping, GMP implementation and equipment upkeep & maintenance. Planning of equipments preventive and corrective maintenance schedule, standardization and formulation of equipment cleaning procedure.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drawing up production schedule, manpower schedule according to the manufacturing plan set by the production manager and working up the resources that’s required.
  • To implement daily production planning and distribute manpower efficiently with specific work instructions for their assigned jobs.
  • Monitors daily production performance and makes sure that all lines are operating to the set standard on productivity, efficiency and utilization as planned with full compliance to the standard quality of the product.
  • Monitors daily production yields and works on minimizing rejects and controlling scraps within allowable tolerances. 
  • Check/ control and investigates sources of ingredient and packaging material variances.
  • Produces on daily base the End-of-Shift production report accurately filled out, mentioning all out of line situations such as down time occurred, reasons, and corrective actions taken.
  • Informs production manager without any delay on any stoppages or breakdown that might occur.
  • Informs production manager of any foreseen or potential problems and suggest solutions to prevent any interruption in the planned schedule of production.
  • Develop training program and provide on-going training to production personnel for continuous improvement of the company.
  • Chairs daily meeting with Q.A, Engineering, and Materials department discuss general performance of operation in respect of yields, material variances, productivity efficiency, machinery breakdowns, quality problems, sanitation audits and other subjects. Trouble shoot problems of such nature and assigning tasks and activities to concerned department for corrective action.
  • Maintain personnel discipline and impose disciplinary measures as maybe required according to company rules and regulations.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping and 5’S.
  • Direct following shift concerned operations.
  • Formulate and review policies and procedures for the consistent management of the Quality system.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum Diploma/Degree with ITI/ Diploma / B.Sc with 2-3 years’ experience in handling and managing similar function of a large FMCG company which is involved in food products manufacturing
  • Exposure to food safety systems.
  • Specific skills required: Mature, strong leadership traits, can work with minimum supervision, self-motivated, an handle work related pressure.
